Gas Turbine Senior Design Engineer needed at all levels!

Due to winning a new project, Belcan is looking for experienced Gas Turbine Design Engineers, based at its Derby Offices with Hybrid working!


The Design Engineer will carry out a variety of tasks associated with the design of a sub-system or component within the Gas Turbine for new technologically advanced Gas Turbine engines. This can range from concept design through to detail design and support of design release. It is expected that the Design Engineer will follow a gates review process, dealing with all associated stakeholders to understand product requirements and producing a solution which meets these requirements. The work can include development and flight hardware as well as aspects of rig design.


Required Qualifications and Experience:

  1. Qualification in an Aeronautical, Mechanical Engineering or related degree or substantial Gas Turbine Design related experience.
  2. Strong technical capabilities in one or more of the following areas: sub-system design, component design, rig design.
  3. Experience in a similar role.
  4. Comprehensive tool set knowledge, including but not limited to: Siemens NX, Teamcenter, Microsoft Office applications, etc.
  5. Experienced in working within flexible teams.
  6. Able to discuss and communicate on highly technical aspects, both internally and with Belcan clients.
