Senior Mechanical Design Engineer

Location  - Aylesbury 

Salary  - £52,000–£60,000 DOE

Duration  - Full-time permanent position.

Your Responsibilities Will Include:

Leading the design and testing of pressure vessel assemblies, pneumatic systems, and bespoke equipment
Performing and approving engineering calculations and technical documentation
Supporting production builds and driving efficiency improvements
Overseeing contractor management and supply chain oversight
Contributing to production planning and capital investment decisions
What You Bring:

Proven experience in mechanical engineering with exposure to pneumatics, hydraulics or pressure vessels
Background in regulated sectors like Aerospace, Maritime, Defence, or Medical Devices
Confident with engineering standards, drawing reviews, and stress/load calculations
A natural leader – proactive, well-presented, and communicative

A meticulous, hands-on approach to quality and detail

Requirements:
Right to work in the UK without sponsorship 
Valid UK driving licence & access to a vehicle
Excellent IT skills, particularly in Microsoft Office
Willingness to travel occasionally, including overseas
Professional, reliable, and team-oriented mindset
