About The Team

The Chief Scientist Directorate (CSD) provides scientific leadership, with the Data Science Services (DSS) Team supporting evidence-based decisions using data science, statistics, and geospatial analysis.

Job Description

The role involves leading EO projects with drone, aircraft, and satellite data, providing technical advice, and supporting enforcement activities. Responsibilities include project management, developing methods and data products, stakeholder engagement, and capability building.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage EO projects, overseeing planning, resources, and budgets;
  • Provide technical leadership in EO analysis, including AI techniques;
  • Engage with stakeholders to share knowledge and build partnerships;
  • Develop training, documentation, and quality assurance practices.

Competencies

Technical Skills and Knowledge, Leading and Managing People, Work Delivery, Personal Effectiveness. Desirable qualifications include EO qualifications at Masters level, project management experience, proficiency in GIS and EO analysis tools, and experience with AI in natural environments.
