Our aim is to cultivate a positive atmosphere and sense of belonging by facilitating easy access to the office.About the roleWe are looking for a data scientist with significant statistical programming experience to work at one of our global biopharma customers on a consulting and development engagement to modernise statistical programming capabilities. They are expected to bring extensive knowledge in CDSIC Standard, TLF creation combined with experience in R development and best practices in software development and collaboration, and ideally having gone through the upskilling journey from using SAS to using R as the main programming language. They will be working closely with the customer; this demands professionalism and empathy. A dedicated focus on delivering high-impact outcomes that delight our customers is key.Skills and ExperienceA successful candidate will demonstrate these traits:Experienced stats programmer, having delivered phase II and III clinical study reporting at biopharma or Contract Research OrganisationsStrong R and R package development, having used R as the main programming language and associated open-source packagesCDSIC Standard integrationCan work with customer stakeholders to understand business processes and workflows, and can design solutions to optimize processes via streamlining and automationNice to have R Shiny, and SAS programming experience would be a big plusNice to have experience with cloud infrastructure (ideally Azure)Nice to have DevOps experience and familiarity with app release processFamiliar with agile delivery methodsWorking at AscentAt Ascent we promote a healthy work-life balance by offering flexibility in where you work.
