Our client is a trusted partner of the UK Ministry of Defence. They are currently seeking an experienced Senior Configuration Engineer to act as the main point of contact for Configuration Management (CM) support to project and functional stakeholders.
As a Senior Configuration Engineer, the successful candidate will be responsible for investigating and implementing Engineering Change Management by-product definitions.
What we're looking for:
Background knowledge in Configuration Control or Technical Data Management within a Defence or Aerospace industry or similar. Proven experience working in a similar role within the defence sector: Candidates from other industries such as Automotive, Aerospace, Pharmaceutical, etc., with practical experience including Bill of Material Engineers, Material Requirements Planning Analysts, Engineering Change Engineers, Technical Data Managers, etc., will also be considered. Experience with MS Office and data systems (Windchill an advantage) Good interpersonal and organisational skills with good attention to detail CM2 certification (essential)

The job responsibilities for the successful candidate include applying Configuration Management principles and processes for one or more projects, interpreting technical data for large and complex product assemblies, managing access and technical signatories for product design data, handling Configuration Management documentation, reviewing and implementing engineering design changes, collaborating across a multi-stakeholder environment, supporting regular Configuration Management Committee meetings, managing schedules, generating agendas and reports, taking and publishing minutes, and supporting technical audits on suppliers to ensure Configuration Management processes are observed throughout the supply chain.
