  • CIPS. Engineering, manufacturing, component background preferred but high volume fast moving environments also considered. This is a very fast paced business, you will need to be accustomed to a dynamic and high pace environment.
  • Working for a commercially astute business where procurement is an essential function and already a very efficient department. This ideal for someone looking to enhance their purchasing career, work in a professional team and potentially look at self development (CIPS qualifications, further training etc).

  • Are you a Senior Buyer / Commodity Buyer who wants to work in an agile, medium sized engineering company with excellent career progression? Are you seeking Senior Buyer jobs or Commodity buyer jobs in the Leicester, Hinckley, Lutterworth, Loughborough, Tamworth, Coventry, Rugby areas?
    This Senior Buyer job will suit:
  • You will be pro-active, upbeat and want an exciting challenge. This is NOT a bog standard Buyer job!
  • A Senior Buyer, Commodity Buyer, Category Manager or similar based in Leicestershire.
  • Some exposure to sourcing and managing a supplier base, this is a more strategic level purchasing role, so you will require a good foundation of previous purchasing experience.
  • Good communication skills
  • Excellent IT skills / Very Analytical – Ideally any Excel & spreadsheet knowledge (Pivot table / VLOOKUPS). If you are analytical and like to manage data this will be a well suited role.
  • You should be ambitious and want to progress your career. You will be pro-active and want a diverse, fast paced role.
  • We are very open to putting someone through further qualifications (maybe advancing your CIPS etc.) this is a progressive business which likes to invest in its staff.

    The Senior Buyer job will involve:
  • Dealing with a wide range of suppliers, ordering a high volume of engineered parts / components.
  • Working closely with the commercial team to analyse how they can improve their business in terms of procurement (there is the chance to get involved in some strategic projects in this regard)
  • Usage of the in-house ERP system
  • Building strong relationships with suppliers in order to maximize performance.
  • Working closely with the Sales team in order to support them with sourcing activity for large contracts and sales enquiries.
