A world-leading manufacturer of ejection seats and related aerospace safety equipment are seeking a Senior Buyer to be responsible for overseeing the procurement of goods and services related to facilities management.

Key Accountabilities - Senior Buyer

• Provide the primary point of contact for suppliers.
  
  
• Manage purchase requisitions and Capex in accordance with standard operating procedures.
  
  
• With the relevant commodity manager, actively develop, gain agreement to and roll-out the appropriate Commodity Strategy.
  
  
• Identify and engage with new suppliers.
  
  
• In conjunction with the Commodity Managers research and evaluate new suppliers and technologies.
  
  
• Monitor the external environment and keep an up-to-date knowledge of competitors and supplier capacity and capability.
  
  
• Generation and maintenance of supplier data in Medius & SAP - cost, master data, transactions etc. to support financial and governance process.
  
  
• Comply with all Sourcing policies & processes.
  
  
• Ensures compliance with export controls e.g. UK, USA, others as appropriate and Company Policies & Processes.
  
  Skills and knowledge required - Senior Buyer
  
  
• Degree-level qualification in a relevant subject- Purchasing supply chain, CIPS
  
  
• Extensive experience managing categories across Facilities portfolio
  
  
• Experience within a Manufacturing or similar environment
  
  
• All Facilities categories (including building construction, H&S regulations, Governmental building regulation)
