A Senior Aerodynamics Engineer qualified to PhD level in Aerodynamics or Aeronautics and with significant post-graduate experience in CFD modelling will use their expertise to conduct research into product performance for a leading name in the Renewable Energy Industry.
Essential requirements for the Senior Aerodynamics Engineer include:

  • PhD in Aerodynamics or Aeronautics with specialization in CFD.
  • Practical post-graduate experience in academia or the aerospace industry.
  • Expertise in commercial and open-source CFD modelling packages.
  • Expertise in aeroacoustics and aerothermal analysis.
  • Experience in applying RANS and LES turbulence modelling techniques.
  • Ability to demonstrate a creative approach to analytical challenges.
    The Senior Aerodynamics Engineer will undertake research in the following areas:
  • Creating CFD models and applying aerodynamics, thermal and aeroacoustics principles in the design of the product performance such as its accuracy.
  • Developing aerodynamics, thermal and aeroacoustics concepts to determine performance targets and specifications.
  • Validating concepts and CFD models using the results of experimental data.
