The below job description will outline this position of: Senior Accountant

Typically, this person will support the Chief Accountant and provide secure and accurate management and statutory accounting information.

HSB Technical’s client is an established and well-regarded business entity.

Duties and responsibilities of the Senior Accountant:

Assist in the preparation of monthly management accounts, ensuring accurate reporting and timely submission.

Collaborate with internal teams to provide financial insights that support strategic decision-making.

Monitor budget performance and provide variance analysis to identify potential risks and opportunities.

Maintain accurate financial records and ensure all transactions are recorded in line with company policies and regulatory requirements.

Support internal and external audit processes by preparing documentation and responding to queries.

Assist in the preparation of financial reports for senior management and stakeholders.

Identify opportunities for process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy in financial reporting.

Qualifications and requirements for the Senior Accountant:

ACA/ACCA qualified or part-qualified with relevant experience in an accountancy practice.

Solid knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and tax regulations.

Strong communication skills with the ability to establish and maintain effective client relationships.

Well-organized and adept at managing multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Office applications, with a focus on Excel for financial analysis and reporting.
