Salary: £55,000 - £60,000 per annum (depending on experience)
Employment Type: Full-Time, Permanent

The company is known for its commitment to excellence in manufacturing complex components, primarily for the aerospace sector. As they continue to grow, they are now looking for an experienced and commercially driven Senior Account Manager to lead their account management team and strengthen key client relationships.

Job Profile

The Senior Account Manager will play a critical leadership role in overseeing client relationships, managing a team of account managers, and driving commercial growth. This position is suited to a commercially astute, self-motivated individual with experience in technical or engineering-led industries.

Key Responsibilities / Duties

Account Management

  • Build and maintain long-term relationships with key clients.

  • Manage and process customer orders with a high level of accuracy.

  • Monitor order progress and proactively communicate updates.

  • Prepare and submit quotations and proposals.

  • Generate and manage invoicing, liaising with the accounts department where needed.

    Leadership & Team Management

  • Lead a team of three Account Managers.

  • Conduct regular coaching sessions, performance reviews, and set team objectives.

  • Foster a collaborative, high-performing team culture.

  • Ensure adherence to health and safety standards and complete required training.

    Client Relationship Management

  • Act as the main point of contact for strategic and high-value clients.

  • Understand client goals and develop tailored account strategies.

  • Oversee all aspects of service delivery to ensure satisfaction.

    Client Retention & Satisfaction

  • Develop and implement retention strategies to reduce churn.

  • Monitor customer satisfaction and address concerns promptly.

  • Conduct regular reviews with clients to explore growth opportunities.

    Account Growth & Strategic Development

  • Identify upselling and cross-selling opportunities.

  • Collaborate with the sales team to plan and execute account growth strategies.

  • Create strategic account plans aligned with company objectives.

    Cross-Departmental Collaboration

  • Work closely with sales, product development, and operations teams.

  • Share client insights to influence internal improvements and service innovation.

  • Ensure smooth internal communication of customer feedback and challenges.

    Reporting & Analysis

  • Analyse account data, market trends, and feedback to inform strategy.

  • Create reports on account performance, satisfaction, and opportunities.

  • Monitor business goals and adapt plans accordingly.

    Requirements / Skills

    Education:

    Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field.

    Experience:

    Minimum 7 years’ experience in account management, client services, or similar.

    Proven success in a leadership position.

    Track record of managing high-value accounts and achieving revenue targets.

    Analytical and data-driven decision-maker.

    Customer-focused and commercially minded.

    Detail-oriented with strong organisational ability.

    Benefits

    25 days annual leave + 8 bank holidays

    Early Friday finish: Monday–Thursday 07:00–15:45, Friday 06:00–13:00
