Our client is a busy manufacturer looking to recruit a Sales Administrator to support the sales order and shipping processes.  You will collaborate with teams across the business and report directly to the MD.

Main Duties

Obtain competitive quotations relating to shipment of the customer orders and confirm to the customer cost of transport once goods are ready for despatch.
Development of existing customer relationships and maintain customer contact details in Baan.
Complete necessary shipping and export documentation to book the transport either by road/sea or air. Maintain regular training in Transport of Dangerous Goods to support this.
Liaise with Freight Forwarders to ensure shipments are efficiently controlled.
Confirm to the Customer in writing when their shipment is ready for despatch and provide the appropriate shipment information.
Complete sales order processing for customer repairs/returns including quotation, order entry, progressing, shipping and invoicing.
Liaise with the CEO regarding customer’s sales issues including sales shipped, delivery performance, quality problems etc
Obtain official and commercial proof of export documentation to support zero rating of VAT on export sales.
Liaise with the Quality Manager for specification and drawing data packs required by the customer including sending technical data sheets or product brochures.
Progress and expedite outstanding Customer orders with other departments.
Maintain a filing system for both open and closed orders.
Maintain customer price books in conjunction with the CEO
Obtaining and adherence to export licence conditions
Provide assistance in general office duties, for example, answering reception phone and directing calls, helping with the daily post

Skills and Experience

Previous sales admin experience in manufacturing environment where exports/imports are part of the day-to-day operation
Well organised
Excellent communicator
First class customer service skills
Be able to collaborate with internal departments
Experience of marine, aerospace, aviation, military an advantage

Salary and Benefits

£28-32K depending on experience
Pension
25 days holiday plus bank holidays
On site parking
Hours 7.30am - 4.00pm Mon-Thurs, 7.30am - 12.30pm Friday
