Fortis Recruitment are working with a leading aerospace company in Slough to recruit a robot programmer to join their team. We are looking for candidates that can program ABB robots, ideally on-line. This is a day shift working Monday to Friday.

You will be setting up and operating the robotic arm and working within a cell to optimise the output. You will need to create new programs when clients order new parts but the majority of the time will be adjusting current programs.

Experience optimising processes within robotic cells to improve efficiency will be a huge benefit.

The company are looking to develop the robot programmer into a cell leader who will take responsibility for the rest of the team and production targets.

Key requirements / experience

• Proficiency programming in ABB robotics and / or Fanuc
  
  
• Experience setting up and operating robotic machines
  
  
• Knowledge of logic controllers for programming robots
  
  
• Ability to read and interpret job cards / engineering specifications
  
  
• Working as part of a closeknit team
  
  
• Team leader experience is beneficial
  
  
• Process improvement
