The Hyde Group are established Industry experts within Aerospace Engineering and due to growth of the business have a new vacancy for a Quality Manager, working at our surface treatment site in Stalybridge.

About the opportunity

This exciting opportunity would involve you taking overall responsibility for the Quality function and laboratory. You will take the lead on ensuring that the site is prepared for both NADCAP, ISO14001 and AS9100 audits and meets the requirements to maintain the accreditations.

You’ll be accountable for ensuring that your team deal with any customer queries with regard to quality, actively using these as an opportunity to delight our customers.

You will use your experience to support our continuous improvement program and take an active role in all relevant quality improvement activities. You will also play an active role in supporting NPI to ensure that all QA standards are in place.

Ideally you will have:

  • Excellent customer facing skills with a proactive approach to problem solving.

  • Solid engineering background.

  • Proven track record as a Quality Engineer in either Aerospace/Automotive industry.

  • Familiar with a range of problem solving techniques 5 why, fish bone 8D.

  • Experience of AS9100, NADCAP & ISO14001 audits.

  • Surface treatment knowledge.

  • Familiar with laboratory processes and industrial chemical testing.

  • Experience of REACH processes.
