A hidden gem on the outskirts of Tewkesbury, this lovely precision engineering company in Ashchurch is looking to hire a Quality Inspector on a permanent basis.

It's been four years since we last took on someone new into our Quality department. Now that a well respected member of our team has hung up his vernier to move into the next chapter of his life, we're looking to hire a new Quality Inspector to join the successful team.

We're a friendly bunch who produce high quality components. The products we make go on to truly make a big difference in this world and we're very proud to be part of this.

We’re now in a position to take on a new Quality Inspector to join our small quality team, to inspect CNC machined components (milling, turning and grinding).

+ A full suite of metrology equipment from micrometers and gauges to programmable CMM

+ Checking the quality of CNC machined components which will eventually end up in many applications from chemical research, and medical science to aerospace, motorsport and more!

What experience will you need?
You’ll be an experienced Quality Inspector, comfortable completing first offs and in-process inspections, carrying out first article and final inspections against drawings.
 
You’ll probably have more than two years’ experience of working as a Quality Inspector but if you have the skills already in less time, then we'll welcome your application too.
 
As an experienced Quality Inspector you’ll know this already but to be clear, you’ll be confident in using a range of precision inspection tools to check dimensions of CNC machined components to include gauges, micrometers, vernier calipers, microscopes, shadowgraphs, CMM and similar equipment. It would be great if you have experience of programming a CMM too but this sisn't essential because we have people in the team who can help.

You'll also know that paperwork comes with this job too, which I'm sure you'll be very happy to hear. You'll have a good idea of what you're doing where this is concerned but we'll get you up to speed with our processes too - perhaps you can even bring some ideas with you!

Job title: Quality Inspector
Location: Ashchurch, Tewkesbury, commutable from Worcester, Gloucester, Cheltenham, Stonehouse and surrounding areas.
Working hours: 39 hour working week, day shift, lunch time finish on Fridays, overtime often available.
Pay rate: As a guide, we're looking to pay between £30,000 and £35,000 based on your experience and we're happy to discuss your requirements too
Contract type: permanent
