About the Opportunity

North West Aerotooling is currently recruiting a Quality Inspector based at one of our bespoke Engineering facilities in Dukinfield Manchester. As a Quality Inspector, you will be responsible for inspecting jobs at various stages of the manufacturing process (1st off, final inspection and FAIR inspection) in line with customer requirements (capture specific measurements from customer requirements).

Ideally you will have:

  • Excellent communications skills are imperative

  • Must have good team working ethic, be highly pro-active and motivated.

  • Ability to read and interpret 3D Models & 2D drawings

  • Experience in CMM/Inspection Arm software. Ideally PC DMISS and power inspect but working knowledge of others will be taken into consideration and training can be given

  • Excellent customer facing skills with a proactive approach to problem solving

  • Solid engineering background, Occasional offsite work may be required

  • Good understanding of the quality management systems (QMS) in either Aerospace/Automotive industry

  • Understanding of AS9100

  • FAIRS process experience preferred

  • Experience of various inspection tools and the ability to understand inspection reports

  • Good understanding of Inspection and manufacturing techniques

  • IT literate, in particular Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint

  • Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills

  • The ability to work flexible hours should the business need arise.
