We are working with an innovative Engineering re-manufacturer who is seeking a Senior Quality Assurance Engineer to join their QHSE team. Committed to delivering high-quality, reliable products, you will work closely with the engineering and re-manufacturing teams to develop and implement quality control processes.


Job Purpose:

  1. To safely and sustainably provide QA Support to a leading engineering company specializing in the manufacture of high-precision electromagnetic devices for the science and healthcare sectors.
  2. Work in a team environment to develop and implement best practices that emphasize defect prevention, reduction in variation and waste to promote opportunities for improvement, product quality, and customer satisfaction.
  3. Assist the Engineering and Quality team during NPI (APQP) phases and re-manufacturing process development.
  4. Develop, maintain, and improve customer relationships through acting with urgency and integrity to handle customer complaints in a timely manner.


Skills/Experience:

  1. Preferably have Quality expertise within an IATF16949 and/or Q1 company; however, working experience of ISO9000 or AS9100 within an Automotive or Aerospace company will be acceptable.
  2. Be comfortable with the “hands-on” elements of this dynamic role.
  3. Knowledge and experience in advanced inspection and calibration activities, use of MSA, CMMs, GDT, and advanced blueprint reading skills.
  4. Powertrain product experience, e.g., transmissions, engines, axles, etc.
  5. Audit Trained, preferably IATF16949 Lead Auditor Trained.
  6. Good IT Skills with a working knowledge of Microsoft Office products; ERP experience would be beneficial.
  7. Methodical approach to record keeping.


Qualifications:

  1. Proven experience in a quality engineering role, preferably within a manufacturing environment.
  2. Strong knowledge of HACCP principles and quality assurance methodologies.
  3. Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
  4. Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to collaborate across teams.
  5. Proficient in using quality management software and tools.
