Job Title: Quality Assurance Engineer

Salary: £40,000 per annum
Contract: Fulltime, Permanent (37 hours per week)
Overview
We are seeking a skilled Quality Engineer to join our team in a challenging aerospace environment. This role focuses on ensuring product quality and compliance with AS9100/ISO9001 standards while supporting continuous improvement initiatives. You'll work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to enhance processes and maintain high-quality outputs.
Key Responsibilities:
Maintain and improve AS9100/ISO9001 quality systems and ensure compliance with accreditation standards.
Review and release conforming products with accurate documentation (Certificates of Conformance).
Conduct audits, support new product introductions, and lead failure investigations.
Collaborate with engineering, production, and inspection teams to resolve quality issues.
Champion a 'right-first-time' approach to enhance product excellence and drive continuous improvement.
Train apprentices and assist in maintaining a clean, safe working environment.
Required Experience
Minimum 3 years of experience in quality engineering, preferably in aerospace.
Proficiency in AS9100/NADCAP standards and interpreting engineering drawings.
Skilled in using inspection tools (calipers, micrometers, height gauges).
Internal auditing experience and HNC/HND qualification in engineering or related discipline.
Key Skills:
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Experience in defect reduction and process improvement.
Self-motivated, proactive, and detail-oriented with a focus on delivering high-quality results.
