About the role
As a Purchasing Administrator, you will be reporting to the purchasing team leader and be responsible for placing and efficiently expediting purchase orders to ensure on-time delivery is achieved for customers. Duties will include:
Placing purchase orders on the in-house database – amending and updating where necessary Dealing with purchase order queries – resolving short delivery issues and arranging return of incorrect items received Securing timely delivery on short lead times with the change in production demand Efficiently expedite purchase orders with suppliers Creating and managing relationships with approved suppliers Liaising directly with customers to secure prompt delivery of free-issue components Providing administration support to the purchasing department
About you
To be successful for the role of Purchasing Administrator previous experience of working within an Engineering / Manufacturing background is desirable but is not essential and you must be / have:
Excellent communication skills with a confident & persuasive telephone manner Able to prioritise workloads and work well under pressure Knowledge of Excel and Outlook is essential
About the hours and rewards
For the role of Purchasing Administrator the hours are 8am to 4pm Mon to Fri but reduced hours will be considered and there is a salary on offer of £20,000 to £22,000 per annum depending on experience plus:
