The Role

AsPrototype Fleet Issue Resolution Engineeryou will be responsible for first response to support propulsions system issues, including triage and resolution, troubleshooting technical issues across the prototype fleet and various locations for automotive industry specific to BEV, MHEV & PHEV propulsion systems. The role would likely involve collaborating with engineers and technicians to prepare vehicles for testing, analyse data, and report findings, often in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

Your responsibilities:

  • Prototype fleet issue resolution.
  • Support Vehicle Fleet.
  • On-road critical testing.
  • Initial response to support propulsion systems.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to lead and work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Strong communication and leadership skills.

Your Profile

Essential skills/knowledge/experience:

  • Experience in Fleet data logging using INCA/CANalyzer/ETAS tools.
  • Experience of supporting passenger vehicle fleets and keeping them on the road for critical testing.
  • Analyse data and root cause analysis.
  • Ensure safety functionality.
  • Good experience in BEV propulsion system, knowledge of HV systems.
  • Understand VSC & calibration knowledge & Sensor control.
  • Diagnostics & trouble shooting.

Desirable skills/knowledge/experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or automotive engineering.
  • Propulsion Prototype fleet issue resolution & Management.
  • 8D analysis.
  • UK Driving License.
  • Working knowledge of JIRA and Confluence.
