Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the project controls process, ensuring accurate and timely reporting on project performance, including cost, schedule, and risk.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain robust project control systems, tools, and procedures to monitor project progress and performance.
  • Prepare and present regular project reports to senior stakeholders, providing insights into project health and highlighting areas of concern or risk.
  • Proactively identify and address project risks, implementing mitigation strategies to keep projects on track.
  • Support project managers and teams with cost forecasting, resource allocation, and schedule optimisation.
  • Oversee the preparation and analysis of Earned Value Management (EVM) metrics to assess project performance and forecast completion dates.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including finance, procurement, and operations, to ensure alignment and successful execution of projects.
  • Ensure compliance with company standards, procedures, and industry regulations related to project controls.
  • Mentor and guide junior project control staff, fostering a collaborative and results-driven environment.


Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

  • Proven experience as a Project Controller, with a strong background in project management, financial control, and scheduling.
  • Extensive proficiency in project control tools, particularly Primavera P6, and experience with Earned Value Management (EVM).
  • Strong financial acumen, with the ability to manage project budgets, forecasts, and resource allocation.
  • Excellent understanding of risk management principles, with the ability to identify, assess, and mitigate project risks effectively.
  • Demonstrated ability to work with senior leadership and manage complex, high-value projects across multiple workstreams.
  • Exceptional analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities with precision.
  • Experience in industries such as aerospace, automotive, energy, or infrastructure is highly desirable.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., PMI-SP, APM, or equivalent) are preferred but not mandatory.
