About the Company

We are currently recruiting into a team of skilled engineers and technicians that design and develop custom hardware solutions to address specific simulation requirements in aerospace and defence engineering. Working closely with clients to understand their goals and challenges, enabling the creation of highly technical engineering solutions that seamlessly integrate into the customers' existing hardware infrastructure.

About the Role

The Project Engineer is responsible for co-ordinating and controlling projects from concept to post-production launch, ensuring delivery to timing deadlines, cost, and quality in accordance with the company’s quality policy and processes.

Responsibilities

  1. Design of systems and the design/selection of electro-mechanical installation hardware to meet contracted requirements and defined standards.
  2. Analysis/establishment of contract technical requirements; and where appropriate, customer expectations.
  3. Preparation of specifications, test instructions, reports, and plans.
  4. Creation of sufficiently detailed work packages for the drawing office to produce engineering drawings, Bill of Materials, and parts lists.
  5. Technical liaison with customers, internal departments, and sub-contractors.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  1. A good technical awareness and attention to detail.
  2. An excellent understanding of design for manufacture/maintenance.
  3. Significant experience in a relevant technical environment, e.g., aerospace and defence or safety-critical project engineering.
  4. Strong understanding of Health & Safety aspects related to complex engineering projects.
  5. Some experience or understanding of SolidWorks or Autodesk CAD packages.
  6. Prince 2 or APM certification.
  7. A qualification in an engineering discipline.
  8. You must be eligible for UK SC level security clearance and have the right to work in the UK.
