Role: Audio Visual Project Engineer

Contract Type: Full-time, Permanent

Location: London or Sunbury-upon-Thames, UK

As our business and client base continues to develop further, we now have a newly created opportunity for an experience AV Project Engineer to join our team.

Key responsibilities:

The Project Engineer will work within the technical team and will be responsible for providing technical support for the duration of projects; working with the Project Managers to deliver AV projects that meet requirements set out in the scope of works.

·       Produce system schematics including audio, video, control, power

·       Ensure that the equipment specified is correct for the installation

·       Produce rack layouts

·       Co-ordinate the production of M&E drawings with the CAD team

·       Work closely with the project managers and clients to ensure that all requirements specified are accounted for

·       Liaise with 3rd party trades/subcontractors to ensure smooth integration

·       Test system racks to ensure they meet the requirements identifying and rectify faults prior to shipping

·       Commission equipment, including programming of audio DSP’s, setup digital video systems/video conferencing systems

·       Fault finding systems and resolve issues associated with design and manufacture

·       Technical Training to the client during project handover



Skills and experience:

·       Excellent technical knowledge of AV & VC equipment from all major brands

·       Must be able to produce AV diagram including control flow diagrams, video and audio components

·       An up-to-date understanding of the AV marketplace including products and trends

·       Excellent problem solving and troubleshooting skills

·       Excellent organisational skills and the ability to work on multiple projects

·       Ability to commission control system and troubleshooting. Programming skill is a plus

·       CAD experience is required

·       Knowledge of IT and Audio Tuning is an advantage
