Project Engineer to join a leading provider of innovative engineering and design solution. The Project Engineer will be contributing to the development and enhancement of cutting-edge products across various industries. With over 30 years of expertise in research, development, and manufacturing, this Project Engineer role offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic and collaborative environment, helping to drive innovation and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and support Project Engineer initiatives from concept through to implementation, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to project budgets.
  • Develop and refine manufacturing processes, equipment, and workflows to improve efficiency and product quality.
  • Conduct design work using CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks) to create and modify engineering components and assemblies.
  • Oversee the procurement, installation, and validation of new equipment, ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including R&D, production, and quality assurance, to optimize product development and manufacturing processes.
  • Carry out risk assessments and compliance evaluations for equipment and processes, addressing any potential safety or operational concerns.
  • Provide technical support and training to staff on new and existing equipment and processes.
  • Manage supplier and stakeholder communication, ensuring alignment with Project Engineer objectives and operational needs.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives by identifying and implementing process optimizations and cost-saving measures.
  • Maintain technical documentation, including specifications, validation reports, and engineering drawings, in accordance with industry standards.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Manufacturing, or a related field) or equivalent industry experience.
  • Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks) for design and technical drawings.
  • Experience managing Project Engineer tasks in a manufacturing or product development setting.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to technical challenges.
  • Understanding of quality assurance principles, regulatory compliance, and validation processes.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment and communicate with stakeholders at all levels.

Desirable Skills:

  • Experience within regulated industries such as medical devices, aerospace, or automotive manufacturing.
  • Familiarity with lean manufacturing methodologies and process optimization.
  • Knowledge of BS8888 technical drawing standards and industry-specific regulations.
  • Exposure to automation and advanced manufacturing technologies.
