The Project Accountant is responsible for providing comprehensive financial management and support for various projects within the organization. The role involves ensuring the accurate reclassification, invoicing, cost analysis, and reconciliation of project-related financial transactions. The Project Accountant will also be responsible for preparing financial reports, managing project-related accruals, and supporting the Finance team in meeting the financial objectives of the business.

What the role will involve
The responsibilities of your role will include the following:
Project Reclassification: Regularly reclassify project-related financials to ensure accurate accounting. Invoicing and Cost Management: Prepare and raise invoices, calculate and post cost of sales (COS) for various projects. Intercompany Recharges: Prepare and process intercompany recharge files, ensuring calculations and approvals are completed. Warranty Reserve Management: Lead warranty reserve meetings, prepare calculations, and post relevant journals. Inventory and Stock Management: Manage material transfers, reconcile stock and inventory, and resolve related issues including GRNI reporting. Accruals Management: Prepare and post various accruals, including contractor and commission accruals, as needed. WIP Reconciliation: Prepare and present Work in Progress (WIP) reconciliations, and manage associated journal entries. Program Analysts Support and Ad Hoc Queries: Provide financial support for specific projects and address ad hoc financial tasks and queries from the wider business as well as own team.
