What will I be doing

  • Supporting the interface between Safran Nacelle and our customers on all matters regarding both product and process quality

  • Ensuring customer satisfaction and achievement of Quality scorecard targets

  • Working collaboratively with your stakeholders to meet their needs and foster a culture of Great Place to Work.

  • Defining internal non-quality reduction targets (eradication) with stakeholders and challenge their achievement by steering localised eradication plans.

  • Challenging the Non-Quality Cost reduction plan contributing to the Program's financial performance

  • Contributing towards the Customer Quality Reviews

  • Preparing and updating DAMAs in support of any quality escapes

  • Participating in Airworthiness Meetings in support of DAMAs, to act as the Customer Quality focus

  • Being responsible for the preparation of Customer quality process documentation, e.g. Quality Plans, etc.

  • Ensuring the transmission of Customer Quality issues to the Operational teams

  • Ensuring the cosmetic quality of delivered products

  • Supporting Customer audits

  • Providing weekly and monthly reporting of Customer Quality KPIs through the QA dashboard

  • Supporting the preparation of all customer quality process documentation, e.g. Quality Plans, etc.

  • Ensuring the review of all Customer Quality documents and requirements.

  • Working collaboratively with your peers and other functions to foster a positive working relationship.

  • Responding to and support Customer feedback/complaints

  • Identifying areas of improvement and propose solutions, wherever possible, to reduce costs and maximise profit.

  • Identifying & escalating any risks or concerns in relation to product or people safety using the company tools & processes.

    What do you need from me?
  • Experience of working within quality standards (EN 9100) & Regulations (EASA Part 21) in an aerospace or automotive environment is ideal

  • Good knowledge of the applicable products and applications (Nacelle)

  • Experience of internal/external audits

  • Ability to present/influence and maintain relationships with senior stakeholders

  • Experience of the implementation of key quality tools (SPC, FMEA, 8D, Six Sigma)

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Excellent communication, presentation, inter-personal and IT skills

  • Pragmatic approach to organising, planning and keeping to timeline for reports and any agreed customer focus'

  • Motivated and able to work under pressure

  • HNC or HND/ Degree in a relevant engineering discipline or equivalent experience

  • Formal quality qualification and eligibility for membership of the IQA is beneficial

  • Working knowledge of French (written and spoken) is beneficial but not essential
