Role Summary:
 
We are looking for a Production Test Lead to join our production team in Oxford.  Reporting to the Production Manager, you will form part of the team creating industry leading hardware products.


Key Responsibilities

  • Supervising and mentoring the test team.
  • Diagnosing faults in Vicon product assemblies to component level, reworking assemblies or working with the external manufacturer to address as appropriate.
  • Oversee the handling of faulty boards both within Vicon and at our external manufacturers.
  • Working with the team, our external manufacturers and our design engineers to improve our production yield, quality and product reliability, including using DFM and DFT practices in the introduction of new products.
  • Working with development engineers in creating test jigs and test specifications for new products.
  • Supporting activities and responsibilities of other Production teams if and when needed, as directed by the Production Manager.


Required Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

  • An ability to test analogue and digital circuits to component level by following schematics and test specifications, using automated test software and equipment where available. 
  • Understand the requirements and management of Production testing.
  • Suitable candidates will be educated to degree level in Electronic Engineering (or equivalent) with relevant industry experience.
  • We are looking for an outgoing, confident and self-propelled candidate that will be a great fit within our small and highly experienced team.
  •  A working knowledge of camera operation would be advantageous, but not essential.
