Job Title: Production Supervisor
Location: Sheffield
Salary: Circa £40,000 per annum
Working Hours: Day Shifts (Monday to Friday)

Company Overview:
Our client is a well-established aerospace component manufacturer based in Sheffield, known for their commitment to quality, precision engineering, and innovation. As part of their continued growth, they are seeking an experienced Production Supervisor to lead and support their manufacturing operations on the shop floor.

Role Overview:
The Production Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing daily operations on the production floor, ensuring that production targets are met safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards. This is a hands-on leadership role suited to someone with experience supervising teams in a manufacturing environment, ideally within aerospace or precision engineering.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and coordinate the activities of production team members to meet daily output and quality targets.

  • Ensure compliance with health and safety standards and company procedures.

  • Manage workflow and allocate resources to meet production schedules.

  • Monitor and report on production performance, identifying areas for improvement.

  • Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity and reduce waste.

  • Work closely with planning, quality, and engineering teams to resolve issues and optimise processes.

  • Utilise ERP systems to manage production orders, track inventory, and report performance data.

  • Provide coaching and performance feedback to team members, supporting training and development.

    Key Requirements:

  • Proven experience in a supervisory role within a manufacturing environment.

  • Strong working knowledge of ERP/MRP systems.

  • Experience in the aerospace or precision engineering sector is highly desirable.

  • Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills.

  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.

  • A hands-on approach and commitment to continuous improvement.
