Job Title: Production Planner

Our client located in Lydney who operate in the manufacturing industry are looking for an Engineering Planner to join the Gloucestershire team

Key Responsibilities – Production Planner

Develop and manage production plans for the paper machine and finishing departments to maximise OTIF performance
Monitor production progress and adjust schedules
Identify potential risks in production and develop proactive solutions
Raise internal orders for trial production
Manage inventory levels to ensure timely usage of SFG and FG by liaising with quality department and finishing supervisor
Manage packaging specifications by coordinating between finishing manager and CSR
Maintain planning master data within required systems
Prepare and monitor planning KPIs including OTIF, plan adherence, downtime, and stock levels
Prepare and present planning meetings
Coordinate with engineering, quality, material management, and logistics to ensure smooth production processes
Liaise with sales and customer service teams to resolve supply issues
Work with finishing supervisor to improve consumable material planning
Qualifications & Requirements – Production Planner

Previous experience in a production planning role, scheduling role, or supply chain
Preferred experience working in a manufacturing environment
Experience with a scheduling program
Preferred experience with an ERP such as SAP or equivalent
Strong experience with Excel and analytical skills
