The Role:
Here at Survitec, we are currently recruiting for an Product Design Engineer to join our team based in Ellesmere Port.
As our Product Design Engineer, you will support design and development activities for Aerospace and Defence Marine products, such as lifejackets and life rafts.
Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Maintain and manage legacy design data. Create CAD manufacturing drawings. Progress Engineering Changes and Query Notes. Model current or new designs in CAD to apply design loads in FEA software. Work with the operations team to deliver improvements to design data. Work with test and evaluation team to support product qualification. Remotely support manufacturing, and sub-contract suppliers sites as required. About You:
Essential criteria:
Experienced in CAD (both 2D and 3D), though training to specific software will be provided as required. Qualified to degree level in a Product Design or Design Engineering Discipline (or relevant experience). Experienced with configuration and documentation control. Preferably experienced with FEA/CFD simulation. Familiar with Safety Engineering Risk Assessments. Experienced with the fundamentals of Project Management disciplines. Able to work independently or as part of a small team. Experienced with Engineering and Certification Documentation. Experienced in requirements compliance matrices. Fully conversant with drawing issue status/controls. Experienced with performance textiles (preferred but not essential).Why You Should Work for Us
