We support our clients across five key sectors: Aerospace & Defence; Nuclear; Power & Renewable Energy; Industrial & Process and Infrastructure & Transportation.
We are currently seeking a Procurement Officer who will be responsible for providing centralised procurement support to a multi-disciplined engineering team working on a variety of engineering products and systems. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the organisation’s purchasing processes, ensuring cost-effective procurement of goods and services in line with company policies and quality standards. The role includes supplier evaluation, contract negotiation, and maintaining procurement records.
The Role:

  • Develop and implement procurement strategies to meet the organisations goals.
  • Identify reliable suppliers and build strong working relationships.
  • Maintaining the Approved Suppliers List, conducting Supplier Appraisals and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Prepare and process purchase orders in accordance with company policies and procedures.
  • Analyse market trends to identify cost-saving opportunities.
  • Negotiate contracts, terms, and pricing with vendors and service providers.
  • Monitor supplier performance and resolve any issues related to delivery, quality, or pricing.
  • Maintain accurate procurement records and documentation.
  • Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements in all purchasing activities.
  • Coordinate with internal departments to forecast future purchasing needs.
  • Stock management.
    About You:
  • Degree or equivalent in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Logistics, or related field.
  • Previous experience in procurement or supply chain roles.
  • Must be a self-starter with a keen eye for detail and accuracy.
  • A good team player, able to interact with all levels of colleagues across the business.
  • Good communicator with a pro-active approach.
  • Professional certification (e.g. CIPS, CPSM) or working towards would be advantageous.
  • Looking to pursue a career in Procurement and gain CIPS chartership.
  • Available to start as soon as possible.
