We’re seeking a Manufacturing Process Engineer - Body  to join our rapidly growing Manufacturing team. Reporting to the Lead Manufacturing Engineer, you will be responsible for defining, developing and validating manufacturing processes for our products.  Collaboration with our partners and ensuring on-time delivery of activities will be key aspects of the role.

This pivotal role will operate in a hybrid capacity from our offices near Leamington Spa. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work alongside some of the most visionary minds in the automotive field.

What you’ll do

  • Review designs and provide input to the engineering team on Design for Manufacture and Assembly requirements
  • Establish and refine manufacturing processes for pre-series builds and volume production, ensuring repeatability and adherence to design specifications.
  • Identify potential risks and challenges in the build process and develop contingency plans to mitigate them both for prototype and series builds.
  • Define processes to assemble the components that deliver the functional and geometric requirements, that can be completed within required cycle time and are within capex and opex targets.
  • Collaborate with and challenge our contract manufacturer to implement and optimise the processes in a volume manufacturing environment.

Who you are

  • A degree qualified, certified or chartered Engineer or equivalent experience who thrives on bringing high quality products into series production
  • Manufacturing engineering / process engineering experience
  • Experienced in successfully leading the definition, development and validation of new manufacturing processes in the automotive or aerospace sector
  • Experienced in usage of multiple joining technologies
  • Pro-active personality with positive attitude and good people-skills able to manage senior stakeholders.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills with a demonstrated ability to create clear and concise reports for changes and deviations.
  • A calm multitasker who successfully manages, prioritises, and executes against tight deadlines in a rapidly changing environment.
