As an Aerospace Process Engineer at ZeroAvia, you will play a crucial role in our high-temperature proton-exchange membrane (HTPEM) fuel cell system development team. Reporting to the Head of HTPEM Division, you with a team of engineers will be responsible for designing and developing hydrogen and air gas feeding systems, as well as creating simulation models for fuel cell components and systems.

Requirements
Main Responsibilities:
- Design, develop and validate piping & instrumentation diagrams for test rig and test stations as well as for aviation hydrogen fuel systems.
- Proving requirements for the components used in gaseous systems. Searching and selecting components. Clarification and coordination of parameters of selected components with the manufacturer.
- Performing all necessary calculations of gaseous systems to ensure that the system meets all necessary requirements.
- Provide technical support to a team of engineers who are responsible for conducting analytical studies and simulations to support the development of fuel cell systems.
- Taking an active part in commissioning of the test rigs, setting up and calibrating gas systems. Calibration and tuning of the hydrogen gas system for aerospace systems.
- Collaborate with other engineers and scientists to identify key design parameters and optimize fuel cell system performance.
- Analysing test results to inform design decisions and identify areas for further system improvement.
- Develop and maintain simulation software tools and workflows to support ongoing research and development activities.
- Participate in technical meetings and presentations to communicate simulation results and progress to project stakeholders.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest advances in fuel cell technology and simulation tools and techniques, and identify opportunities for their application in current and future projects.
- Ensuring compliance: Ensuring that analytical work is conducted in compliance with company policies, procedures, and industry standards.
Experience and qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's (or equivalent) degree in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in simulation and modelling high complexity systems in aerospace, automotive, or similar industries. Experience in aviation fuel systems as an advance.
- Strong proficiency in simulation tools such as Simcenter Amesim or similar.
- Strong knowledge of mathematics, physics, and engineering principles.
- Expertise in simulation software development and programming languages such as C++, Python, or MATLAB.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong communication and presentation skills to effectively convey technical information to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Experience in collaborating with other departments such as design, testing, and manufacturing to ensure that analytical work aligns with project objectives and requirements.
