We are looking for a Senior Analysis Engineer to work as part of the Verification and Validation team, providing concept and design development services to our Integrated Project Solutions team and Engineering Delivery team.

What Will You Be Doing?

Derive suitable load cases and targets using first principles and prior experience as well as customer, legislative and internal documents Support design work and ensure that proposed design solutions meet required static and dynamic load cases Execution and development of test activities, including setup, testing, and reporting, to meet the objectives of the project Work with internal and external stakeholders to negotiate and establish alignment of virtual and physical DV test plans, test specifications, and schedules Work in multi-discipline teams to deliver to and support other business functions Technical liaison with customers, suppliers, manufacturing, and internal stakeholders Work to relevant analysis procedures and record analysis results clearly Understand your working priorities and clearly show progress, delivery status, and key risks and issues Lead and develop junior team members Extend our analysis capability with your specialism (e.g., Structures, Thermal, CFD, MBS) Contribute to continual improvement of analysis processes, analysis tools Support business development activities and creation of customer proposals Support project management activities and monitor analysis plans and progress

Who Are We Looking For?

Due to our diverse range of engineering activities, we are interested in candidates with selected skills, or a blend of all of the following knowledge, experience, or skills:

Statics and structures simulation, such as: FEA crash analysis of automotive vehicle structuresFEA shell and solid modelling of structuresExperience with the physics of system behaviour, load paths, expected structural response, and potential failure modes Dynamic systems and multibody simulation, such as: Vibration analysis and isolationKinematics of mechanisms and designPassenger car and/or commercial vehicle dynamics simulation and calculations General: Experience in Automotive, Motorsport, Aerospace sectorsExperience with classical hand calculations and free body diagramsClearly communicate and articulate technical concepts and ideasBuild models from scratch, smartly choose the appropriate analysis techniques and boundary conditions for the problem at hand, balancing speed, accuracy, and ensuring usefulness and appropriatenessIdeally, experience with Altair HyperWorks suite (Motionsolve, HyperMesh, Hyperview, Optistruct, Radioss)We are open to skills in similar packages
