An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced PLC Programmer to join a leading provider of bespoke automation and measurement solutions. This role offers the chance to work on cutting-edge projects for high-profile clients across industries such as Aerospace, Automotive, and Orthopaedics.

The Role

As a PLC Programmer, you will be responsible for designing and developing PLC software, primarily using Siemens TIA Portal. Working closely with the Controls Manager, Mechanical Design Engineers, and Technicians, you will contribute to projects from concept through to testing and final delivery.

Key responsibilities include:
✔ Developing PLC software for bespoke automation and measurement systems
✔ Understanding and interpreting customer requirements to create tailored solutions
✔ Collaborating with the design team to ensure robust and innovative designs
✔ Integrating software with control systems and industrial networks (Profinet or similar)

About You

To succeed in this role, you should have:
✅ Experience in PLC programming and software design
✅ A strong understanding of automation and control systems
✅ Knowledge of Siemens TIA Portal (or similar)
✅ Good problem-solving skills and the ability to develop solutions for complex challenges
✅ A relevant HND/Degree in Engineering (desirable)
✅ Experience with industrial networking (Profinet or similar) (desirable)
