PLC Programmer – Coventry, UK

Are you an experienced PLC Programmer looking for an exciting opportunity to work on cutting-edge automation and metrology solutions? My client is seeking a skilled professional to join their design team in Coventry, contributing to innovative projects across industries such as Aerospace, Automotive, and Orthopaedics.

As a PLC Programmer, you will be responsible for designing and developing PLC software, working closely with Controls Engineers, Mechanical Design Engineers, and Technicians. You will play a key role in taking projects from concept through to testing and delivery, ensuring robust and efficient automation solutions.

Key Responsibilities for the PLC Programmer job:

  • Develop PLC software using Siemens TIA Portal

  • Interpret and implement customer requirements into effective solutions

  • Contribute to concept development and problem-solving within the design team

  • Ensure seamless integration of software with control systems

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality automation projects

    Key Skills & Requirements for the PLC Programmer job:

  • HND/Degree or higher in a relevant engineering discipline

  • Experience in electrical design

  • Experience in PLC or Windows-based software design

  • Strong problem-solving skills with an engineering mindset

  • Ability to communicate effectively with technical teams and stakeholders
