We’re proud to be working with a world-leading industrial gases and engineering company to recruit a Plant Shift Manager for their top-tier COMAH site near Port Talbot. This is a vital leadership role within a dynamic and supportive team, where your contribution will directly impact safe and efficient plant operations. This is a fantastic opportunity for a people-oriented leader who wants to make a meaningful difference on-site while continuing to grow professionally.

What you’ll be doing:

Overseeing day-to-day plant operations to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality output
Taking responsibility as the Senior Person on Site during any emergency, with full support from the team
Leading and coaching a skilled shift team, promoting a strong safety culture and positive working environment
Coordinating with on-site contractors, ensuring safe working practices and permit-to-work compliance
Working closely with the Remote Operating Centre (ROC) to optimise plant performance and efficiency
Providing support to satellite sites as needed during coverage weeks
Keeping accurate management records and contributing to cross-functional problem-solving and improvement effortsWhat we’re looking for:

ONC or HNC in an Engineering discipline (or equivalent practical experience)
Proven ability to lead or supervise a shift team in a process plant or similar environment
Sound knowledge of safety systems, COMAH standards, and emergency response procedures
Experience with air separation units (ASUs), hydrogen reformers or carbon monoxide installations is a strong plus
A proactive approach to health, safety, and environmental responsibility
A calm, inclusive, and reliable leader who builds trust and supports others under pressure
Clear understanding of health, safety, and environmental legislation and best practices.
