6 Month + Contract Position - Monday - Friday 7.30am - 5.30pm

£28.00 - £30.00 per hour CIS

The company is a multi-disciplined engineering firm with a number of expert divisions, spanning across a variety of markets and sectors. Providing bespoke engineering services to clients across the UK, the company utilises its expertise and customer-centred approach to consistently deliver innovative engineering solutions. Dedicated engineering services for the food and beverage, automotive and aerospace industries, the company has tailored specialist engineering solutions to many of the world's largest manufacturers. This is a fantastic opportunity for a pipe fitter TIG welder to join the mechanical engineering division, supporting a pipework maintenance contract in Sheffield, S6 2GY.

Duties

As a suitably qualified and experienced pipe fitter TIG welder you will be working on site at a live food production facility in Sheffield, S6 2GY. Responsibilities will include both the removal and replacement of existing damaged, obsolete and corroded process pipework along with the installation of new lines to new production machinery and equipment. Typical duties will include fabricating and butt welding 1" to 4" OD thin wall stainless steel pipework, with schedule 10 stainless steel pipework up to 4" diameter along with carbon steel up to 6". Other duties will include fabricating brackets and associated supports along with assisting other pipe fitter welders as necessary.

About You

Based ideally in South Yorkshire you will need to live within a commutable distance of S6 2GY.

Demonstrable experience of fabricating and TIG welding stainless steel and carbon steel pipework within a food, drink or petro chemical processing environment is essential. You'll also need to have good all round welding experience with current or previous coding's a definite advantage.

CSCS or CCNSG and IPAF are preferred.
