Parachute Packer***************************

We have an exciting opportunity to work for a global market leader within the Aerospace/military sector.

We are looking for a parachute packer to join the team.

This role would be ideal for someone who hobby is paragliding or skydiving or someone who has worked for the Parachute Regiment in the British Army.

This is a full-time role based in their factory in Uxbridge and the hours will be Monday to Thursday 08.00-16.45 and on Fridays 08.00-12.00.

The salary is £28K per annum + an excellent benefits package

This role would suit someone who has extremely strong attention to detail and is not easily disturbed or side tracked, also able to follow instructions to the letter.

Your responsibilities

Pack parachutes and drogues in accordance with technical specifications and manuals involving:
Drawing of parts from satellite stores
Recording of batch numbers and completion of history sheets
 Checking parachutes for flaws and noting minor flaws on the history sheet • Preparing parachutes for loading into the press
 Operating presses to ensure parachutes and drogues are compressed in accordance with the drawings /manuals.
 Carry out self-inspection and peer inspection up to MBSE standards
 Make sure that tools and equipment are fit for purpose calibrated and maintained at all times reporting any defects to the Team Leader.
