Packing & Despatch Operative

EMBS Engineering is currently recruiting for a Packing & Despatch Operative to join a leading precision engineering company in Tamworth on a permanent basis.

    Key Responsibilities of a Packing & Despatch Operative:

  • Pack parts as per customer requirements to ensure compliance with packing specifications, prepare paperwork

  • Ensuring accurate labelling and documentation for despatch

  • Updating records and inputting data using Excel and ERP systems

  • Identifying and reporting any issues with packing or quality control

  • Performing manual stock checks (counting and recording stock levels)

  • Stock control, including F.I.F.O and stock rotation

  • General operative duties within a precision engineering environment

    Requirements for the Packing & Despatch Operative Role:

  • Previous experience in despatch, packing, or stores within manufacturing, industrial, or warehouse environments

  • Strong computer literacy – able to use Excel and ERP systems confidently

  • Keen eye for detail and the ability to spot and report potential issues

  • Manual handling of parts up to 25kg in weight

  • Efficient and well-organised working style
