The Role:

We are seeking a talentedOperations Managerto join our dynamic team and play a pivotal role in driving excellence across our life raft operations. As Operations Manager, you will lead the delivery of exceptional product management and operational performance across multiple sites within a significant geographic area. You will manage a team Service Technicians, ensuring quality, safety, and customer demand are met with efficiency and precision. You will play a crucial role in optimizing skills development, driving standardization, and identifying opportunities for business growth.

Key responsibilities for the Operations Manager role include but are not limited to:

Leadership & Strategy: Lead service delivery team, ensuring quality and safety standards are met. Provide strategic direction to optimize operational performance.

Product Management: Oversee the implementation of product strategies for life rafts, ensuring alignment with customer needs and business objectives.

Team Development: Develop, mentor, and manage a team of 12, fostering a high-performing and engaged workforce.

Process Optimization: Implement and standardize processes to drive continuous improvement and ensure operational excellence.

Resource Management:Create manpower budgets, manage staffing levels, and engage sub-contractors to meet customer demand effectively.

Collaboration:Work with Sales, Commercial, and Business Improvement teams to align operational strategies with broader business objectives.

Customer Focus:Maintain a customer-centric approach by meeting service delivery standards and participating in bids and tenders as an operational expert.

Compliance & Safety:Uphold and promote a safety-first culture, ensuring compliance with internal and external safety standards.

About You:

Essential criteria:

Experience in operational roles, with proven expertise in product management, particularly with life rafts or similar safety equipment. Managerial experience, including resource planning and team leadership. Strong knowledge of continuous improvement practices and standard work implementation. Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to make data-driven decisions. Exceptional communication and collaboration skills to manage diverse stakeholders. A valid driver’s license is essential for this role.
