We are seeking a talented and motivatedOperational Technology Developerto join our Operational Technology (OT) team. As a member of our global team, you will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining our internal platform for machine connectivity. This platform serves as integration, data collection, analytics, and visualization tool across all GKN Aerospace Engines sites. In addition, you will maintaining and assist in enabling our Technology and Operations organisations with digital tools and infrastructure for their process improvement initiatives. 

Key Responsibilities

Be at the forefront of GKN Aerospace Engines' digital transformation by developing and maintaining cutting-edge applications using the latest DevOps methodologies and best practices. Be an integral part of the activities at our Global Technology Center to explore emerging technologies, leveraging cutting-edge advancements to enhance operational efficiency and drive continuous improvement initiatives across GKN Aerospace Engines. Work closely with cross-functional teams to guarantee the reliability and stability of our applications, bringing people together from across the organization to deliver success. Keep a watchful eye over the performance of the OT applications, using your technical know-how to troubleshoot complex issues and make sure we're always operating at peak efficiency. Safeguard the privacy and security of sensitive data stored within our applications, so our customers can be confident in the safety of their information. Stay up-to-date with the latest technologies and industry trends, using your knowledge to continuously improve our applications and keep us ahead of the curve.

Requirements

BSc in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent work experience along with 5+ years of experience in DevOps, software development, IT architectural design or machine tool IT systems. Strong understanding of machine tool controllers, automation, and knowledge of production of aerospace components (or similar industries). Expertise with DevOps methodologies and tools such as Git, Linux, coding, scripting, containers and databases to deliver results and help GKN Aerospace Engines stay ahead of the curve. Advantageous if you have experience with Kubernetes Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues. Great team player who communicates effectively and is well-organized, working closely with colleagues across the organization to deliver success. Willingness to travel nationally and regionally, with occasional global travel, to help us deliver results for our customers.
