A quick look at the role.
This role is to ensure that the administration for the operation is completed on time and accurately. This includes dealing with complaints from Council, management of CRM requests, crew monitoring, reviewing CCTV, complaint handling, working with excel to analysis data. Working closely with the operational and admin team to review processes and look at how to maximise the efficiency of the service through use of data capture and analysis including web aspects and whitespace systems.

Biffa’s household waste division delivers a range of cost-efficient, quality-led waste management services for 31 local authorities across the UK. With over 3,300 staff and around 1,562 specialist vehicles, our domestic waste management division makes 4.3 million collections each week from over 2.3 million households across Britain.

Receive, complete and return all Council instructions within time limits specified. When completed file appropriately.
Answer the telephones and deal with any day to day administration issues with the Client and Company.
Undertake collection and crew monitoring via CCTV systems.
Complaint handling, investigations, providing well detailed and conscious reports.
Data analysis.
Ad hoc administration duties, such as filing, scanning, and in particular raising crew memos.
Keep the Admin Manager and team updated on service issues.
Responsible for keeping spreadsheets updated.
To remain polite and respectful with all colleagues, members of the public and client representatives at all times.
To assist the Company in achieving its published Business Objectives and complying with all procedures.
Complete any other reasonable request from the Administration or Senior Supervisor for the smooth running of the Contract.
Here’s what we require:
GCSE (or equivalent) in Maths and English
Previous office environment
Admin experience
Excel – Intermediate level
Proficient IT skills including Microsoft Office, in particular Excel.
Ability to influence and persuade people
Excellent customer service skills both internal and external
Ability to manage own workload
Proactive and positive attitude
Attention to detail
Demonstrate initiative and be able to work unsupervised
Team player
Drive and enthusiasm to achieve success
Good communication – verbal and written
