Job Description


We are looking for an experienced NPI/NPD Project Manager to lead the delivery of custom projects on time, on budget, and to specification. This is an exciting opportunity to take full ownership of the project lifecycle, from concept through to delivery, working closely with both internal and external stakeholders to ensure the successful completion of innovative product development projects.


Our customer is a leading provider in high-tech engineering solutions, specializing in delivering cutting-edge products that meet the most demanding requirements of clients across (e.g., aerospace, defence, telecommunications).



Job Responsibilities

  • Deliver custom projects on time, on budget, and to specification by planning, resourcing, and executing effectively.
  • Develop and maintain detailed project plans, ensuring key milestones and resources are clearly communicated across teams.
  • Manage project risks, identify potential issues, and ensure compliance with internal and external standards.
  • Communicate effectively with customers, providing regular updates and managing stakeholder relationships throughout the project.
  • Create and control all project documentation, including manuals, specifications, and inspection plans, tailored to client requirements.



Skill Required

  • Concept to business case creation, turning ideas into actionable plans and financial justifications.
  • Commercial product design & development understanding, with a focus on manufacturing processes and practical product execution.
  • Production engineering and manufacturing skills, ensuring effective operations and timely delivery.
  • Expertise in logistics and supply chain planning to ensure smooth project execution.
  • Proficiency in MS Project for planning and resource management.
  • Degree-qualified, with strong project management experience in NPD/I projects.



Compensation & Other Benefits

  • Up to £65,000 per annum, plus a healthy benefits package
  • An opportunity to lead major projects and help take our clients business forward
