NDT Technician - PCN Level 2
Location: Near Wolverhampton
Salary: £38,000 – £42,000 + 7.5% Shift Allowance
Hours: Afternoon Shift (Mon–Thur: 2pm–10pm, Fri: 2pm–9.30pm)
Employment Type: Permanent

EMBS Engineering is working in partnership with a leading precision engineering company specialising in bespoke medium to large-sized assemblies for market leading, world-renowned customers and they are seeking an experienced NDT Technician to join their high-performing team.

Operating from one of their facilities near Wolverhampton, the company delivers complex, safety-critical components for some of the world’s most regulated sectors. This is a unique opportunity to become part of a business with a strong reputation for technical excellence and innovation.

Key Benefits:

  • Stability: Permanent position

  • Competitive salary: Up to £45,000 p.a

  • Shifts: Afternoons

  • Hours: 2pm - 10pm, early finish on Fridays

    Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform non-destructive testing (NDT) using Ultrasonic and Dye Penetrant methods in accordance with project specifications and drawings

  • Produce and maintain high-quality inspection reports and welding/NDT documentation

  • Support product verification, traceability, and non-conformity reporting across the full project lifecycle

  • Engage with customers and internal stakeholders to address NDT-related queries and inspections

  • Contribute to audits, quality investigations, and continuous improvement activities

    Essential Requirements:

  • PCN Level 2 certification in Ultrasonic Testing (welds) & Dye Penetrant Inspection

  • Experience in precision engineering within highly regulated industries (e.g. Nuclear, Oil & Gas, Defence, Aerospace)

  • Strong understanding of complex engineering drawings, standards, and inspection specifications

  • Proficient in MS Office applications

  • Background working with machined and fabricated components

    Desirable:

  • CSWIP 3.1 Weld Inspection

  • PCN Level 2 in Magnetic Particle Testing and/or Visual Inspection

  • Awareness of quality management systems, internal auditing, and continuous improvement tools
