What you’ll be doing:

As a Trainee Metal Finishing Technician, you will support the Metal Processing and Bonding Unit (MPBU) in delivering a range of critical surface treatments. You’ll be trained to handle:

  • Electroplating operations using Cadmium, Nickel, Chrome, Silver, Tin, Copper and Phosphate

  • Heat treatment and non-destructive testing (Nital Etch)

  • Environmental and chemical safety protocols

  • Chemical and consumable stock management

  • Daily, weekly and monthly control and quality checks

  • Maintaining EASA and FAA standards

  • 5S workplace standards and continuous improvement

    What we’re looking for:

  • Minimum GCSE (or equivalent) in Maths and English

  • A proactive, can-do attitude with excellent problem-solving ability

  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written

  • Motivation to learn and grow in a technical environment

  • Ability to work under pressure and maintain quality standards
