Associates degree in a related field and one (1) year of related experience required. Work experience may NOT substitute for education requirement. Currently certified as a Medical Lab Technician (MLT) with the American Society for Clinical Pathology (ASCP) or the American Medical Technologists (AMT) required. Currently certified as a Technician or Technologist from the American Society of Anesthesia Technologists and Technicians (ASATT) preferred. Depending on the unit/department or if the position works directly with patients Certified in Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association (AHA) may be required or required to be obtained within 30 days of employment.

Compensation:
Pay Range: $22.90 $37.25 / hour

Job Description:
To perform check accuracy and report results of routine and moderately complex lab procedures on body tissues fluids and/or other substances as specified by lab supervisor. To assure correct reagent preparation quality control troubleshooting and equipment maintenance within a section. To assist in the coordination of education quality assurance or supervisory function within a section.
