Job description
Contract Mechanical Technician
Roles within this department have a clearly defined progression route and the potential to transition from contract to permanent positions.
The primary responsibility of this role is to assemble new hydraulic pumps, motors, and generators. The candidate must possess the ability to interpret drawings and the necessary skills to construct aerospace products using Standard Operating Procedures (SOP). An aerospace qualification or a similar manufacturing assembly qualification would be advantageous. The applicant must demonstrate diligence, work with small tolerances, and obtain a "stamp" to sign off on their work, confirming its completion in accordance with all relevant specifications. Additional duties include participation in 5S and lean manufacturing activities, laying out, and duty tech.
Rates: PAYE + Holiday Pay
£13.51 per hour (PAYE) + Holiday Pay
Overtime over 37 hours and Saturdays is time and a half
Sundays and bank holidays are double time.
10% uplift for earlies
20% uplift for the late shift
