Our client are a world leader in Smart power, systems and robotics. They are seeking an experienced mechanical maintenance engineer to join their expanding team, the role would based out of their Birmingham site. The client are recognised as Top UK employer.

Responsibilities – Mechanical Maintenance Engineer

Defining maintenance plans for new production lines or facilities, and consulting on ways to improve reliability, maintainability, and safety of equipment and/or facilities.
Solving major technical, equipment, or facilities problems to achieve higher performance of the production lines.
Proposing improvement projects for processes and production lines aimed at reducing ordinary and extraordinary maintenance and optimizing operational and energy efficiency.
Responding to emergencies, breakdowns, malfunctions, and other operating problems to minimize disruption in the production process.
Qualification/Experience – Mechanical Maintenance Engineer

Time served/Qualification in Mechanical Engineering.
Knowledge of maintenance activities with the use of CMMS systems. Also experience in data analysis through such systems to focus activities for greater results.
Working knowledge of Microsoft packages such as Excel, Word. PowerPoint etc
Ability to read mechanical and electrical drawings to support manufacturing and machine improvements.
Successful candidate will display good communication skills at all levels within the business.
Machining experience in a maintenance setting using tooling such as Lathes, Milling, grinding, drilling, welding etc.
