Mechanical inspectors opportunities on day or evening/night/late shift with this busy, established and changing aerospace/defence precision engineering company. (The late shift role is role is 5.30pm-1.30am with an earlier finish on the Friday)and all skill / experience levels are considered. The ideal candidates will be responsible for performing inspections using precision measuring tools (e.g. Micrometer, gauges etc). Any Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM) experience will be an advantage (full or specific software training can be given).

These are interesting roles working on complex high precision machined parts in a busy environment.

Ideally you will also have experience of quality paperwork and reporting including FAIRs and have an understanding of Metrology.

key aspects of the role Include:

Conduct thorough inspections of mechanical components using CMM and other measuring tools
Interpret engineering drawings and specifications to ensure compliance with quality standards
Identify and document any deviations or defects in the manufacturing process
Collaborate with production teams to address quality issues and implement corrective actions
Maintain accurate inspection records and documentation
Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance quality control processes Requirements:

Proven experience as a Mechanical Inspector in a manufacturing environment
Proficiency in using precision measuring tools and ideally Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM).
Strong understanding of engineering drawings and specifications
Excellent attention to detail and ability to identify quality issues
Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment
