Salary:£30,784 - £35,500 per annum

Experienced Mechanical Inspector Wanted - Aerospace Engineering Sector

A well-established precision engineering company based in Tewkesbury is seeking an experienced Mechanical Inspector to join its team. This is an excellent opportunity for a quality-focused professional with a background in aerospace manufacturing to contribute to high-profile, industry-critical projects.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Performfirst-off, final, and first article inspectionsof CNC milled prismatic components, CNC turned machined parts, and fully assembled products to aerospace standards

  • Identify and rectify errors on workshop documentation (works order cards)

  • Interpret and work from2D technical drawingsand model definitions

  • OperateCMMsand various electronic and manual measuring instruments

  • Ensure timely and effectiveroot cause and corrective actionprocesses

  • Conductquality reviewsand participate in internalQMS audits

  • Manage both internal and externalcalibration systems


About You:

  • Previous experience in aprecision engineering or aerospace workshop environment

  • Excellent attention to detail and commitment to high standards of quality

  • Confident with inspection techniques andprocess control procedures

  • Skilled inreading technical drawingsand using inspection tools

  • Familiar withquality management systemsand internal audits
